What you've all been waiting for...

I know you've been wondering "where is that witty and totally funny Mandy?" well, no need to keep you all wondering...yes, I'm pregnant! I'm about 12 weeks now and just surviving. It's been a rough last month but I'm just extremely grateful just to be pregnant. I know that timing is just the way it's supposed to be.

Blake and I have been "trying" to get pregnant for almost 3 yrs now so this is a wonderful surprise. We had been seeing a fertility specialist since October and were supposed to start doing artificial insemination at the end of December. However, we (unknowingly) conceived at the beginning of December so it was wonderful to find out we didn't have to go that route.

It really explained a lot when going to Colorado for Christmas, feeling nauseated the entire time, then waking up every night to pee. I knew something was different over the holidays, but didn't actually find out what that was until New Years Eve...what a fantastic present for the new year!!

So, this has been me a lot lately. Tired, nauseated...yeah that's me. Falling asleep at the drop of a hat...anywhere I find a soft surface. It's taking a real toll on my back. Stiff....ouch. I goes through days of complete and utter exhaustion- hense no posts and no comments on your lovely blogs. "They" say that "usually" the feeling crappy goes away after the first trimester, AKA right now, so hopefully I will be feeling more up to blogging, commenting, and don't forget- work and school full time. Thank you for being my friend...even if I've been a crappy one lately. I promise, I'll make it up to you.

I wondered when you were going to make this announcement on your blog. Congratulations again - we are so happy for you and Blake. If you need anything at all, call us, okay?

you forgot about the trapped gas. lots and lots of trapped gas.

congrats. i can't believe you didn't let the cat out of the bag earlier, being that you're without a social filter now.

little baby kimball will be the hardest.

I am sooooo excited and happy for you guys! This is the best news I've had all week. I totally know about the sleep thing. Many a time I was asleep and didn't even know it. That sounds weird, but true. All the sudden I would spaz awake and be like "what happened?"

I have to go tell Shane. Yeah!! Can't wait for pics and more updates.

The stupid thing just deleted my awesome comment, so I will try and remember what I just wrote...
Seeing that picture of you made me want to sleep! I hope you start to get feeling better soon too! You guys should take a baby moon sometime in your second trimester if possible.
I am so excited that your little one is on its way! Waiting for them to finally show up makes it that much sweeter!

I'm so happy for you guys. Hopefully the crappy feeling will go away soon, my sickness always lasts until like 5 months along, and now you want to probably kick me for scaring you. I definitely feel your pain. Congrats!

i could say how happy i am for you, how thrilling it all is, and express all sorts of congratulations, but i'd rather comment on the fact that you just posted a picture of a stick that has your pee on it. i feel like this somehow sums up the change from woman to mother.

but still--CONGRATULATIONS. so happy for you :)
